LTG Cargo Polska bought its first locomotive
27.10.2022
The recently acquired M62M locomotive will allow the company to increase capacity on non-electrified lines, including an increasing number of operations under a contract with the Polish poultry company Cedrob. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Kurier Kolejowy.
Due to the modernization, the acquired M62M locomotive has significantly better parameters, including increased power, a larger fuel reserve, which increases the range of the locomotive between refueling, and reduced fuel consumption.
So far, the locomotives used by LTG Cargo Polska have been leased from partners in Poland. LTG Cargo Polska has signed an agreement with Rail Polska for the purchase of two M62M locomotives, which have been overhauled and upgraded, also by Rail Polska. The second locomotive is to be delivered at the end of February 2023.

LTG Cargo Polska started operations in Poland in 2020 and currently serves about 40 customers in Poland. Currently, the company already employs 70 people, which is three times more than in 2020. In early September, LTG Cargo Polska opened its second office in Poland – in Katowice, and also began transporting goods for the Polish logistics company Laconi International on the route from Gdansk to Slawkow.
