Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky made a working visit to the Republic of Latvia on April 22-24.

Grain export

It is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply.

The official met with Latvian Minister of Agriculture Kaspars Gerhards, and also visited the Riga, Ventspils free ports and the special economic zone of the city of Liepaja.

The minister got acquainted with the port and logistics infrastructure of Latvia and discussed the possibility of exporting products of Ukrainian farmers through Latvian ports.

During the visit, Nikolai Solsky also met with representatives of local governments in Latvia, representatives of local port administrations, grain terminal operators, and grain trading companies.

Earlier Latvia has offered the ports for export of the Ukrainian grain.

In addition, Ukraine was invited to join the Amber Train project. It is also planned to send a test train with Ukrainian agricultural products to Lithuania.
