Strong Performance and Steady Growth for LA Metro

The newly extended A Line is now a significant factor in this turnaround. Trains now connect Azusa, Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, and Pomona, which began operating in September. Due to it restoring rail service between the San Gabriel Valley and the rest of Metrolink’s light rail network for the first time since 1951, this extension has captivated nearly 3,000 boardings in only 12 days.
This line now links Pomona directly to Long Beach, providing a corridor through Los Angeles County. It will also help with big events such as the 2026 World Cup and Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028, improving mobility and tourist activity.
LA Metro Rail and Bus Systems Display Positive Indicators
The E Line remains one of LA Metro’s strongest lines. It transported 1.5 million passengers last month, which is a 6.7% improvement over last year. Weekday service showed a 4.7% increase, with Saturdays increasing 3.5% and Sunday service up 10.8% over last year. These levels can be attributed to renewed interest in entertainment travel along routes serving Crypto.com Arena, BMO Stadium, and Exposition Park.
LA Metro’s cumulative boardings on the whole railway system amounted to 5.96 million, registering a 1.7% increase on a year-on-year comparison. Weekday ridership slightly decreased, but riding on both Saturdays and Sundays improved by 6.5% and 9.4%, respectively. Customer satisfaction levels increased to 81% compared with 76% previously.
Its bus operations saw 20.3 million boardings, which represented a decline of 2.9% compared to 2024. Despite this, satisfaction levels rose to 88% compared with 87% due to improved real-time information and route designs.
The executives explained that continued enhancement, last-mile connectivity, and networking for future events would maintain competitiveness and efficiency for LA Metro. The aim is to provide a robust and quality network that will continue to draw regular commuters and tourists alike.
