Kyiv Metro became a member of the International Association of Public Transport

According to the head of the utility enterprise, the metro is ready for import substitution of Russian railcars, modernization and implementation of grant projects.
Kyiv Metropolitan received membership in the International Association of Public Transport, said the head of the enterprise Viktor Braginsky, informs the railway magazine Railway Supply.
“This is a show of extreme solidarity from an organization of almost 2 000 members from 100 countries. An organization that shapes the philosophy of modern mobility,” he said.
Braginsky added that the victory and the European future of Ukraine consist of many parts, and the technical re-equipment of the Kyiv Metro according to world standards is one of them.
“Today, the metro is ready for import substitution of Russian cars, modernization, implementation of grant projects, initiatives and innovations,” he summed up.
The International Public Transport Organization has a history of 135 years. It has 1900 active members and has offices in 15 countries around the world.
