KTZ

To construct additional tracks on the Dostyk-Moyinti section, JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” will procure 108,000 tons of rails, over 1,500,000 sets of concrete sleepers, and rail fastenings.

TrackTec Focuses on Export

Components of the railway superstructure manufactured by domestic enterprises are delivered to temporary assembly bases located at the stations Zharyk, Aktogay, Orta-Deresin, and Zhaqsybūlak.

At these bases, rail-sleeper grids are assembled with the help of a railway crane.

Ready grids are transported to storage bases on special platforms and, once the earthworks are completed, they are delivered to the installation sites.

Currently, around 170 kilometers of rail-sleeper grids have been prepared.

In total, the construction of 836 kilometers of additional tracks is proceeding according to the schedule. Works are underway on over 600 kilometers of the section. Artificial structures are being built, and drainage pipes are being installed.

The project is planned to be completed by 2025. The second tracks will increase the capacity of the freight-heavy Dostyk-Moyinti section by 5 times.

As reported earlier, Kazakhstan is expanding its railway infrastructure with China.
