National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (KTZ) and DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH have signed an agreement to develop cooperation, as reported by the railway journal Railway Supply.

The agreement was signed on June 20, with the participation of the heads of state of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The document continues the previous cooperation, which involved improving passenger transportation and implementing measures to upgrade the rolling stock.

“The parties intend to continue their joint activities to improve service and accessibility of transport services for the population. The implementation of a ‘hub’ system is planned, which will include railway, automotive, and aviation transportation,” the announcement emphasizes.

It should be noted that previously, PSA International and KTZ established a joint venture.
