Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works has signed a contract with Ukrzaliznytsia to supply 95 passenger coaches worth approximately $110 million, with funding provided by the state budget. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Under the agreement, the company will deliver 88 standard sleeper coaches and 7 special coaches equipped for wheelchair users and train manager compartments.

The entire fleet must be delivered by December 31, 2028, according to the technical specifications outlined in the tender documentation.

Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works to Provide Full Documentation

The plant is also required to submit a full package of technical documentation for maintenance and repair of the coaches throughout their life cycle.

This includes instructions for servicing (TO-3), depot-level repair, major overhauls of the first and second categories, as well as engineering blueprints for unit-level repairs.

Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works Supports UZ Modernization

Ukrzaliznytsia will receive operational manuals, schematic diagrams for water supply, heating, air conditioning, electric and braking systems, along with illustrated guides.

The documentation will specify maintenance intervals, repair timelines, and scope of work for all systems and mechanical units.

Overall, the deal is part of a national program to modernize Ukrzaliznytsia’s rolling stock, aiming to procure 100 new passenger coaches by year-end.
