Mitsubishi Corporation has entrusted CAF with the production of seven electric trains for the Philippines

According to the contract with the Philippines Department of Transportation, the cost of the trains will be 9 billion Philippine pesos (€150 million), this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The express trains, each consisting of eight cars, are intended for the new North-South suburban railway in Manila.
Vossloh will supply Deutsche Bahn with 600 turnout switches
Additionally, Mitsubishi is responsible for expanding this infrastructure.
The collaboration between Mitsubishi and CAF has seen success with various projects, including supplying trains for the Manila metro and trams for Canberra.
CAF views the Philippines as a strategically important region due to its GDP growth and significant infrastructure projects.
