Knorr-Bremse at InnoTrans 2024: Revolutionary Brake Systems and the Digital Coupler of the Future
15.08.2024
At the international InnoTrans 2024 exhibition, which will take place in September in Berlin, Knorr-Bremse will showcase a range of its advanced developments, including an improved electro-pneumatic brake, an innovative electromechanical brake system, and the DAC Type 5 digital automatic coupler with automated wagon uncoupling functionality, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Special attention will be given to the new generation of electro-pneumatic brakes, equipped with the CubeControl digital control system.
This brake will be presented alongside the electromechanical braking system, which completely eliminates the use of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Unlike traditional solutions, the new system provides active brake force regulation at all stages of operation, significantly enhancing efficiency and safety.
Another important exhibit will be the FreightLink digital automatic coupler, which meets DAC Type 5 standards.
It not only ensures the automatic connection of air lines, power supply cables, and data transmission systems for freight trains, but also allows for remote uncoupling of wagons and locomotives.
This function is enabled by an integrated actuator that manages the uncoupling process without the need for manual intervention.
Additionally, at the Knorr-Bremse booth, products from its subsidiaries will be on display, including sanitation systems, door systems, and air conditioning units.
These solutions also demonstrate the high standards of quality and innovative approaches that distinguish the company in the global market.
Thus, Knorr-Bremse’s participation in InnoTrans 2024 promises to be a standout event, where the company will present its latest technologies aimed at improving the efficiency and safety of railway transportation.
