11.06.2024
The first train was handed over to the country’s Ministry of Transport at the company’s factory in Zhuzhou, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The six-car ETS3 (class 94) electric train, with a gauge of 1000 mm, can accelerate up to 160 km/h and can accommodate 312 passengers, including 36 business-class seats.

The new train is equipped with advanced technologies, including an intelligent diagnostic and driver assistance system.
It meets modern standards of impact resistance and fire safety.
Notably, the battery packs with a capacity of 640 Ah can support the train’s vital systems for two hours in case of an emergency power outage.
The contract for the supply of trains was signed in 2020.
According to its terms, the first two trains are to be built in China, while the remaining eight will be assembled at the CRRC plant in Batu Gajah, Malaysia.
The last train is scheduled to be delivered in August 2025.
This is not the first instance of cooperation between CRRC and Malaysia.

From 2010 to 2020, the Chinese company delivered 57 electric trains and 13 diesel trains to this country.
Additionally, CRRC is implementing a hydrogen “tram” ART project on wheels for the city of Kuching.
These new technological solutions aim to improve Malaysia’s transportation infrastructure, enhance passenger comfort and safety, and reduce environmental impact.
The design and manufacture of trains using the latest technologies demonstrate the high level of Chinese engineering and a commitment to the sustainable development of transportation systems.
CRRC continues to strengthen its position in the international railway market by providing innovative and high-quality solutions.
The introduction of the new generation of trains in Malaysia is a significant step in developing the country’s transportation network and improving passenger service quality.
