The Moroccan National Railways Office (ONCF) has prioritized modernizing its fleet, announcing plans to acquire 168 advanced trains. These upgrades will meet rising passenger demand and ensure efficient, high-speed travel across the country.

The total cost of the Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail Project is $5.3 billion, supported by a $14 billion loan from the African Development Bank. This funding also supports other key projects, such as the proposed Laayoune and Dakhla rail expansions.
