Spanning 133.6 hectares, the facility will feature warehouses, customs infrastructure, and service areas, ensuring the capacity to process up to 400,000 TEU or about 11 million tons of cargo annually for various markets.
The hub’s launch will create approximately 500 new jobs for logistics experts, IT specialists, and operators. Authorities plan to complete the project by 2027, significantly improving the region’s economic stability and logistics network.
Kazakhstan Expands Industrial Potential with Major Projects
Kostanay already provides over 70% of the country’s iron ore exports and nearly 30% of flour output while remaining a top importer of machinery and components. Its industrial importance continues to grow with ambitious new projects.
By 2025, a KIA automobile plant will start operations in the region with an annual capacity of 70,000 vehicles, complemented by parts production facilities capable of manufacturing 220,000 components per year.
Kazakhstan Strengthens Global Trade Position
The Tobyl hub will streamline transport operations and create synergies with upcoming industrial plants. These investments will help Kazakhstan solidify its role as a vital bridge between Europe and Asia in global logistics networks.
