Kazakhstan Develops Rail Infrastructure for Economic Growth

Kazakhstan’s government has introduced a comprehensive infrastructure plan featuring over 200 projects. The initiative, valued at ₸40 trillion ($87 billion), supports modernization and sustainable development.

The Dostyk-Moyynty railway project, covering 836 kilometers, is nearing completion this year. This key development will increase capacity fivefold, accelerate cargo delivery, and modernize logistics networks.

Local architects, engineers, and builders have led the construction, showcasing Kazakhstan’s technical capabilities. The government highlights this project as an achievement for domestic expertise and workforce growth.

Kazakhstan Improves Logistics and Passenger Transport Systems

Another critical development is the bypass railway line at the Almaty station. This upgrade will reduce congestion, enhance cargo transportation efficiency, and improve delivery times.

Kazakhstan also prioritizes passenger comfort by modernizing its train fleet. The upgrades focus on safety, comfort, and convenience to provide better services nationwide.

Additionally, the country plans to expand its machine engineering sector with advanced production facilities. New automotive lines and casting production for engine parts will enhance industrial growth.

Kazakhstan strategically allocates funds from the National Fund to support large infrastructure projects. President Tokayev emphasized that these resources will drive long-term economic development.
