Kazakhstan and Turkey intend to establish a committee for the development of combined freight transportation

Astana and Ankara are preparing to ratify an agreement to create a joint committee that will focus on streamlining freight transportation between Kazakhstan and Turkey, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport announced, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
This will enable an increase in the volume of cargo transportation carried out between the two countries via road, rail, and water transport.
The document includes the launch of regular rail-ferry operations on the Caspian Sea, provision of transit services on railway lines connecting Kazakhstan and Turkey, particularly for container trains, and defines the conditions for transporting goods between the two countries, taking into account customs clearance rules.
