“Kamkor Locomotive” has modernized the first TEM2U locomotive

In Kazakhstan, “Kamkor Locomotive” successfully modernized the first TEM2U locomotive for Azerbaijan, according to information from the national carrier ADY, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

This locomotive started operating at the Bilajari depot after a major overhaul, the first in 22 years of operation.
Modernization of locomotives of the TEM-2 (TEM-1) series
Under the contract with ADY, “Kamkor Locomotive” is set to deliver 11 more refurbished locomotives this year, with 6 already undergoing modernization in Kazakhstan.
Currently, ADY’s shunting locomotive fleet comprises 84 units.

Additionally, this year “Kamkor Locomotive” plans to send 4 modernized two-section locomotives to Latvia.
The company specializes in maintenance and repair of various types of rolling stock and components.
It has 13 branches in Kazakhstan and over 5,000 employees.
