The investment was previously announced at a renaming ceremony of the factory in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

Here, Jupiter Wagons, after acquiring the plant from GHH-Bonatrans for 2.7 billion rupees (32 million dollars), already produces up to 20,000 wheels annually.

The new expansion will meet domestic demand and support exports, which will account for half of the manufactured wheels.

Slovakia’s Tatravagonka, one of Europe’s largest railcar manufacturers, holds a stake in Jupiter Wagons, strengthening their international market position.
