Japanese railways are partnering with SkyDrive to merge next‑generation air mobility and train services, creating a seamless, efficient travel network for both commuters and tourists. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

SkyDrive CEO Tomohiro Fukuzawa said integrating aerial solutions with railway systems will offer passengers fast, convenient journeys and improved connectivity.

The company began eVTOL production last year at a Suzuki facility and achieved its first public flight in April at Expo 2025 in Osaka. Investors then provided $58 M in additional funding on July 4 to expand teams, enhance testing facilities, and accelerate certification.
