Due to the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, a section of the railway track has subsided
11.06.2023
On Saturday, June 10, near Nikopol, a subsidence occurred on a railway section due to the dam of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, which was detonated by Russians.
Thanks to the attentiveness of the Dnipro railway workers, a tragedy was averted. Suburban trains were promptly canceled, and the resumption of traffic is expected within approximately three days, as reported by the Railway Supply magazine, citing Ukrainian Railways (UZ).
Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) informs that suburban trains from Kryvyi Rih, Apostolove, and Tymkove to Nikopol are limited to Chortomlyk.
Free buses will be provided for passenger transportation.
