Responding to a question about the largest contracts signed in the past two years, he said: “Interpipe’s largest contract was with Greenbrier, the largest railcar manufacturer in Europe. Its parent structure is American, but the plant where we are to supply a significant volume of wheelsets is located in Poland.”
Contracts have also been signed for clients in Spain and Finland, countries with track gauges different from those in continental Europe.
It is noted that traditionally, Interpipe supplies primarily wheelsets to the EU. However, Greenbrier will separately receive wheels and axles.
Additionally, the company has an order from Siemens to supply products for various trains in Britain, Thailand, and India.
A new order for trains in Germany has recently been received.
“We also have a contract with Alstom to supply locomotive wheels to India. Currently, it’s just one order, although we are ready to expand our cooperation. However, this client is very cautious for understandable reasons,” clarified a representative of the Ukrainian manufacturer.
As reported earlier, Interpipe produced nearly 43.5 thousand tons of wheels in six months.
