According to him, in addition to Ukrainian standards, the company will compare mechanical indicators with EU standards.
This is done to ensure that European standards do not lower mechanical indicators.
“Numerous studies have shown that these indicators are higher than the standards of the current Ukrainian DSTU. Mechanical characteristics. We see that European standards are stricter than current Ukrainian standards. Metallographic indicators were also analyzed. Apparently, European standards are also stricter,” noted Alexander Roslik during the presentation.
“So here’s what I would like to say. High requirements for mechanical properties are good because they directly affect the safety of movement and reliability in operation. We already supply our railway products according to EU standards and are ready to deliver the same products to Ukraine. And I think that all manufacturers in Ukraine and wheel suppliers should adhere to these standards in production,” he added.
Summarizing, Alexander Roslik noted that the integration of Ukraine’s railway into the EU will ensure, firstly, the standardization of rolling stock, and secondly, the standardization of infrastructure: “This is more difficult, but also possible. With subsequent free movement of rolling stock both in the territory of the European Union and in Ukraine… As well as ensuring increased safety and reliability in operation.”
As reported earlier, Interpipe will increase salaries for employees starting from March 1st.
