InnoTrans Asia will officially launch in Singapore on September 7–9, 2027, offering a new international platform for railway innovation across the Asia-Pacific region. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Unlike its Berlin counterpart, InnoTrans Asia will run in alternate years and specifically target the fast-growing Asian rail market. The show will spotlight Railway Technology, Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors, and Tunnel Construction.
Messe Berlin COO Dirk Hoffmann noted that InnoTrans Asia strengthens the company’s global reach and serves as a vital link between emerging markets and global innovation. He emphasized Singapore’s strategic importance due to its infrastructure investments.
Senior Vice President of Mobility Kai Mangelberger added that countries such as China, India, and others in Southeast Asia are boosting demand for sustainable transport and digital rail technologies. Because of this shift, InnoTrans Asia is designed to meet regional needs.
InnoTrans Asia Focuses on Innovation and Connectivity
The event aims to address rising demand for automation, digitalization, and carbon-conscious solutions in the rail sector. It will provide exhibitors and attendees with a centralized business and knowledge exchange hub.
By establishing InnoTrans Asia, Messe Berlin enables rail manufacturers and policymakers to collaborate directly on future-ready mobility concepts tailored to Asian markets.
InnoTrans Asia Launch Features Regional Thought Leaders
A livestreamed launch featured industry leaders from Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia in a panel moderated by TC Chew, Arup’s Managing Director for Asia.
Chew emphasized that Asian nations will increasingly drive global transport trends and not merely follow them. He said the region is poised to shape the future of rail innovation worldwide.
Messe Berlin Singapore Ltd, which also operates ITB Asia and Asia Fruit Logistica, will coordinate the new event. With this regional office in place, the groundwork for InnoTrans Asia is already well underway.
