Indore Metro Construction Reaches New Milestone with Package IN-04 Progress

The RVNL-URCC joint venture has started casting box segments for Indore Metro’s Package IN-04. This milestone marks another step forward for the city’s transformative metro system. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Indore Metro’s Package IN-04: Key Details
Package IN-04 covers a 5.2 km stretch from Shaheed Bagh to Palasia Chauraha with five elevated stations. These stations include Shaheed Bagh, Khajrana Chauraha, Bengali Chauraha, Patrakar Colony, and Palasia Chauraha. Each box segment, designed to connect these stations via a viaduct, measures 8.5 meters wide and 2.1 meters tall.

Awarded in March 2024 for ₹5.43 billion, this package is crucial to the Yellow Line’s development. The line spans 31.55 km and connects 30 elevated and underground stations, significantly improving urban transit.
Indore Metro’s Broader Vision
While Package IN-04 focuses on elevated stations, technical evaluations are underway for Package IN-05R. This upcoming section will include an 8.626 km underground stretch, completing more of the Yellow Line. Once operational, the metro will serve as a vital link for Indore’s commuters.
