Don’t miss…Southeastern Completes First Stage of Train Modernization Program

In 2024, China’s CRRC secured a deal to supply 11 SFC120-V units after winning a tender against Japan’s J-Trec and South Korea’s Wojin and Dawonsys.

Indonesia Strengthens Its Railway Industry

This marks CRRC’s second major contract in Indonesia following the delivery of 11 high-speed CR400AF trains. The project further solidifies its presence in the Southeast Asian market.

Both train models feature stainless steel car bodies and are designed for speeds of up to 120 km/h. They are equipped with modern traction systems using IGBT-based inverters for efficient and reliable performance.

Indonesia Focuses on Capacity and Efficiency

The SFC120-V train can accommodate up to 3,400 passengers, making it especially suitable for Jakarta’s dense commuter traffic. High capacity is a key advantage for the capital’s growing transit needs.

By modernizing its fleet, the country aims to improve the reliability and frequency of suburban services. These new trains are expected to reinforce Indonesia’s transport network.
