He highlighted that the facility exports under the ‘Design, Develop, Deliver from India to the World’ vision. This approach demonstrates how Indian engineering now meets global rail standards.

These exports not only boost national revenue but also raise India’s reputation as a trusted supplier of rail technology.

India drives local development and innovation in rail sector

Vaishnaw said the Savli plant contributes to regional growth by creating jobs for local youth. A company statement noted the factory has enhanced Vadodara’s economy and spurred local infrastructure improvements.

Alstom employs nearly 7,000 engineers in India. Around 300 of them work on international projects, reflecting the global relevance of Indian expertise.

The minister also encouraged collaboration between Alstom and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, where he serves as Chancellor.

He proposed launching extensive training programs—both on-site and off-campus—to enhance skills among Indian Railways personnel.

Such initiatives, he added, ensure that India develops a workforce capable of driving next-generation railway solutions.

By blending manufacturing capability, technical skill, and global outreach, India is positioning itself as a leader in advanced rail systems.

India’s export growth reflects its broader strategy to become a global technology and infrastructure hub.

And with high-quality products and skilled talent, the country is ready to compete at the highest level of global rail manufacturing.
