Local manufacturer PT Inka has successfully launched the first batch of upgraded passenger cars, as reported by the company “NPO A.T.O.R.,” a leader in comprehensive supply for passenger carriages, electric trains, and socially oriented transport.
Trains with stainless steel bodies are already in operation on the route between Jakarta and Surakarta.

Each train consists of 12 cars of various classes, providing passengers with a comfortable journey.
An important step is the contract between KAI and PT Inka for the major overhaul of over 600 locomotive traction cars, with a total cost of 2.5 trillion Indonesian rupiahs.
This move will help modernize and improve the efficiency of railway transportation in the country, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Equally important is the agreement with KCI for the supply of 16 electric trains, each comprising 12 cars.
This provides an additional boost to the development of modern and environmentally friendly transportation.
The launch of PT Inka’s second factory in Banyuwangi underscores the commitment to developing manufacturing in this area, with investments totaling 1.6 trillion rupiahs.
This significant stage in the development of railway infrastructure highlights the strategic importance of collaboration between domestic manufacturers and carriers, contributing to the modernization and improvement of the quality of passenger transportation in Indonesia.
