Hanover Purchases New TW 4000 Trams for Transport Modernization

The company ÜSTRA, which manages public transport in Hanover, is purchasing new TW 4000 trams. Seventeen modern vehicles will complement the previously ordered batch, increasing the reliability of urban transport. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The total funding amounts to €16 million, allowing for a significant upgrade of the fleet. In 2022, the company ordered 42 similar trams, betting on innovative technology.

TW 4000 – A New Stage in Public Transport Development
The first tram of this model is scheduled for delivery in autumn 2026, with shipments proceeding as planned. These modern vehicles will ensure passenger comfort, improving mobility in the urban environment.
The new trams will enhance the efficiency of the transport system, reduce operational costs, and lower CO₂ emissions. This aligns with the city’s strategy for environmental improvement and sustainable development.
