These orders come from clients in various economic sectors and include a variety of railcar types. Greenbrier emphasized that this is the largest influx of orders for a single quarter in nearly 10 years.

These figures do not include orders that will be fulfilled in the long term.

According to information from Greenbrier, the demand for new railcars is still far from the levels seen in the 2010s when there was a severe shortage of railcar capacity.

However, the company anticipates increased demand due to growth in key markets and is confident that the need for new railcars will exceed production levels required for replacing aging ones.
