The company’s primary activities included transporting slag and damaged wood.

GCA’s crisis began following the resignation of Catalin Grațian, the company’s CEO, from the executive board, exacerbating internal problems.

Grup Feroviar Roman, GCA’s parent company, continues operations in other countries, including Bulgaria, Hungary, and Serbia, maintaining stable financial performance.

In 2023, the company’s turnover exceeded 1 billion Romanian leu, with profits surpassing 23 million Romanian leu, reflecting its resilience and influence in the regional freight transport market.
