Traction generator type GP-312 for the M62 locomotive

The GP-312 traction generator is a ten-pole, independently excited generator with a starting winding on the main poles and without a compensating winding. The brush holder assembly is mounted on the bearing shield ribs. The frame has mounting lugs for attaching the generator to the sub-diesel frame and support platforms for installing auxiliary machines and a gearbox. The ventilation is independent, with air intake from the collector side.
