Nashik area stations set to receive pilgrims from different directions
Alongside the Ghoti proposal, the Railways has planned the development of Nashik and four neighbouring stations — Deolali, Odha, Kherwadi and Kasbe Sukene. The intention is for these locations to be dedicated to receiving pilgrims arriving from specific directions of the country, in line with wider station-upgrade planning outlined by Railway Supply.
Nashik Road Railway Station decongestion plan
The district administration has asked railway authorities to present their decongestion plans for Nashik Road Railway Station. Work there includes setting up ramps and increasing the number of foot overbridges to carry passengers across the tracks, as outlined in a Press Information Bureau release from the Ministry of Railways. Officials added that planning also covers how crowds will move towards the railway station when people are travelling back home.
