Tender Evaluation and Project Goals for Croatia

This ambitious railway upgrade, co-financed by the European Union, includes building a second track, modernizing stations, and enhancing safety systems. The improvements aim to increase operational efficiency and ensure compliance with EU standards.

Once finished, the line will support train speeds up to 160 km/h between Dugo Selo, near Zagreb, and Novska. Faster travel and improved connectivity should strengthen Croatia’s position as a regional transport hub.

The railway tender highlights Croatia’s commitment to sustainable mobility and reduced emissions. Industry observers now await the final selection, which will shape the country’s rail infrastructure for decades.
