Flex Rail Services orders EuroDual Locomotive from ELP

Flex Rail Services GmbH has ordered an EuroDual locomotive from ELP under a ten-year lease agreement, committing to ensure efficiency, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
European Loc Pool (ELP) announced the signing of another EuroDual locomotive contract with Flex Rail Services GmbH.
Anticipated Growth in Railway Electrification in Europe
European Loc Pool focuses on innovative six-axle hybrid locomotives, boasting a diesel engine output of up to 2.8 MW, an electric engine of 9 MW, and a traction power of 500 kN.
As standard, all their vehicles feature ETCS Baseline 3 for level 2 operations.
The first ELP EuroDual locomotives have been operating on the German rail network since April 2020.
They are capable of running on electrified and non-electrified lines, as well as performing shunting and maneuvering operations. All the paired locomotives come equipped with remote control.
The ten-year lease agreement significantly strengthens the partnership between the two companies.
Flex has already gained valuable experience operating an ELP EuroDual locomotive since August 2023.
