Five more trains with humanitarian cargo sent to Ukraine
28.03.2022
Two weeks after the departure of the first train with humanitarian cargo from Deutsche Bahn, five more such trains go to Ukraine as part of the Railway Bridge project.

It is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the press service of Deutsche Bahn.
Many companies and individuals across Europe have joined the project. The logistics specialists of DB Cargo, DB Schenker and DB Cargo Transa-Spedition receive numerous orders and requests for the transport of assistance, primarily food and beverages, as well as hygiene items.
Now almost 100 containers are awaiting shipment, which were previously completed at DB collection points.
“We are shocked by this war in the center of Europe. Therefore, we act decisively and supply people with essential goods. Each container is a sign: We will not leave you alone!” Sigrid Nikutta, DB board member for freight transport, emphasized.
In addition, DB has set up a hotline for a railway bridge to Ukraine. There you can register cargo, especially for companies and donations, as well as coordinate the collection of humanitarian supplies.
As previously reported, the Deutsche Bahn has created a logistics network for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
