The new sleeper train model includes 16 carriages, with 11 carriages featuring three-tier sleeping berths. Additionally, there are four carriages with two tiers and one carriage with a single-tier berth for added convenience. The train’s passenger capacity reaches 823 people, making it ideal for long-distance night journeys across India.

Features of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train
The train can reach a speed of 180 km/h during testing, while its operational speed will be 160 km/h. This increase in speed will significantly reduce travel time, making long-distance journeys more efficient and comfortable for passengers.
In June of this year, Vande Bharat project leader Sudhanshu Mani emphasized the importance of launching night trains soon. A significant milestone occurred in early September when the first prototype of the sleeper train was presented, marking substantial progress in the project’s development.
India’s Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed that mass production of these trains will begin in about a year and a half. Two to three new trains will enter service each month, aiming to enhance mobility and improve the overall travel experience for passengers on India’s railway network.
The Future of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Production
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is expected to play an important role in modernizing India’s transport infrastructure, providing convenient conditions for night travel. Its innovative design and large capacity are likely to attract attention from both domestic and international travelers.

The rapid development and production of these trains reflect India’s commitment to upgrading its railway system. It also highlights the country’s focus on improving passenger experiences and enhancing transportation efficiency.
Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw noted that India is making significant efforts to accelerate the introduction of these trains. In about a year and a half, mass production will commence, increasing the number of trains on the country’s railway lines.
The Vande Bharat project has already attracted considerable attention due to its innovations and plans for expanding the train network. In the coming months, more new trains will be introduced, greatly improving transportation links between different regions of India.
In conclusion, India continues to take important steps towards creating a more convenient and modern transportation infrastructure.
