The two-car Plus 227M accommodates up to 229 passengers, 84 of whom can be seated. The electric traction allows the train to reach speeds of up to 160 km/h, while the diesel mode allows up to 120 km/h.

The hybrid Plus 227M train is the debut multiple-unit model from FPS, first introduced in 2021.

Currently, two trains of this series have been built: the two-car 227M and the three-car 228M2, which is awaiting certification in November.

Both trains were purchased by the Lubusz Voivodeship for PLN 73.8 million (about $17.3 million), with over 80% of this amount covered by European Union funding.

FPS plans to expand the range by developing battery and hydrogen versions, highlighting the company’s commitment to environmentally friendly solutions.
