The financing conditions for the construction project of the railway “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” have not yet been finalized, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Beijing, Bishkek, and Tashkent continue discussions on funding models for the railway project, as revealed during the meeting between the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, and the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilkhom Makhkamov.

Despite the technical and economic justification approval in June 2023, negotiations on financing terms between Beijing and Bishkek previously stalled, leading to Kyrgyzstan’s inability to commence railway construction in the autumn of 2023.
