This is the second such case: for the same reason the operation of trams was suspended for four days in June. This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to tzdjournal.

Similar defects were found in CAF trams in Australia, France and Serbia. In the near future, the Sydney carrier TfNSW will send specialists to Birmingham to assist with the repair of trams.

The first Alstom Metropolis unmanned trains delivered to the future REM line of Montreal, Canada, were found to have a number of problems: damaged and unprotected wiring, poor weld quality and improperly installed doors.

This became known from a letter from the President of the Canadian CDPQ Infra Jean-Marc Arbeau. An Alstom spokesperson said that a defect remediation plan has been developed since the letter was received.
