Etihad Rail unveils train designs and ticketing for 2026 launch
30.09.2025
Etihad Rail revealed its last train configurations and ticket information before its launch in 2026, so the UAE gets set to indulge in a high-speed passenger connection of major cities in efficiency and comfort.
This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Etihad Rail unveils new-age passenger experience
Silver trains show Etihad Rail’s black-and-red branding and offer three classes: Economy, Family, and First. Travelers will enjoy fold-down tables, overhead stowage, and special convenience-designed luggage rooms.

Economy provides face-to-face seating in grays, whereas Family gets you larger tables between facing seats. First Class prioritizes space with wider-spreading adjustable chairs. And because passenger satisfaction is behind design, every class balances usability and comfort.
Etihad Rail speed and electronic ticketing system
The network will link Dubai to Abu Dhabi in a mere 57 minutes and a speed of 200 km/h. Fujairah trips will last 100 minutes, and Ruwais approximately 70 minutes.
Two train models will run: Chinese CRC coaches seating 365 and Spanish CAF coaches seating 369. Though smaller differences exist, they have the same three-class format facilitated by staff wearing new uniforms.
Digital ticketing will simplify boarding by electronic gates. Travelers can book online or through card-, cash-, and Apple Pay-enabled vending machines. And as these systems allow quick access, travel is made easier and more predictable.
Etihad Rail has made no announcement about ticket prices or linking transport modes. But the volume of investment betrays that as commitment to new rail, so the venture reinforces UAE strategy on sustainable infrastructure.
