02.02.2024
The capital of Azerbaijan welcomed a new scheduled train carrying 55 forty-foot containers from China’s Xi’an, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The containers, initially delivered from the Kazakh port of Aktau on the feeder vessel ‘Sunkar,’ contain passenger cars, parts of heavy machinery, and other non-food items.
They are being transferred to railway platforms for further transit through Azerbaijan to the Georgian port of Poti.
It’s worth noting that during 2024, there are plans to dispatch 100 scheduled trains from Xi’an via the transit route ‘Port Aktau – Port Baku.’
