Ukraine and Moldova are engaged in a dialogue on reducing tariffs for the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Moldovan railway
The main focus is on railway tariffs in the direction of the ports of Reni, Giurgiulesti, and Galati, according to the Railway Supply journal, citing CTS.
Nikola Soltsky, the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, held an online meeting with Vladimir Bolya, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, steps aimed at increasing the volume of Ukrainian agricultural product transportation through the Moldovan railway by reducing tariffs were discussed.

According to the information from the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, in the coming weeks, the Ukrainian and Moldovan railways are expected to announce the reached agreements, which include the reduction of tariffs for railway transportation towards the ports of Reni, Giurgiulesti, and Galati.
These steps are aimed not only at increasing the volume of Ukrainian grain transportation but also at relieving the Romanian logistics infrastructure, which is particularly important in this season due to the expected harvest in Romania and neighboring countries.
Representatives of ministries and agencies from both countries, as well as the heads of Ukrzaliznytsia and Railway-Moldova, participated in the meeting.
