Who will become the owner of the railcar manufacturing plant TransAnt GmbH?

Cypriot T.A.S. Overseas Investments Limited, part of the TAS group, will become the majority owner of the Austrian railcar manufacturer TransAnt GmbH, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine granted permission to acquire more than 50% of the share capital of the Austrian company on February 22.

TransAnt GmbH is a joint venture of Austrian ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, voestalpine Stahl GmbH, and the TAS group, producing innovative and economically efficient railway freight cars.
In early 2023, the TAS group became an investor in the railcar joint venture of Austrian voestalpine and ÖBB Rail Cargo with a 40% stake.
At the same time, voestalpine Stahl’s share in the joint venture decreased from 80.2% to 48.1%, and Rail Cargo Group’s share decreased from 19.8% to 11.87%.
