The Warsaw Metro has opened bids for the “Pre-Project Works for the 4th Metro Line.”, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Three proposals were received. Now, the tender committee will proceed with their analysis, including verifying the correctness of the submissions.

The merger of Talgo and Hungarian Ganz-MaVag has been approved

The client has allocated exactly 50,922,000 zlotys for the project.

The tender proposals – all slightly exceeding the expected amount – were submitted by the following companies: ILF Consulting Engineers Polska Sp. z o. (54.7 million zlotys); Voessing Polska Sp. z o. (52.3 million zlotys); and Metroprojekt sp.

The 4th metro line will become an important element of Warsaw’s transportation system – connecting 9 districts, overcoming city barriers (railways, major roads), and creating convenient interchanges with other modes of urban transport.

The pre-project works are expected to be completed by 2027.
