Vossloh has created a universal platform for railway customers throughout the railway network, offering a comprehensive set of digital solutions seamlessly integrated into one convenient system.
It provides a holistic view of railway infrastructure and operations.
Vossloh connect not only gives customers access to Vossloh’s in-house solutions for various railway infrastructure areas but is also open to selected third-party partners offering additional products and solutions.
The tools offer real-time monitoring capabilities, providing instant insights into railway network performance and asset conditions, as well as relevant information for predictive maintenance.
Furthermore, the platform includes advanced analytics and alert systems to significantly reduce the risk of accidents and failures.
This is crucial for railway safety and also helps reduce emergency repair costs, extending the lifespan of railway assets and promoting sustainability.
The core of “Vossloh connect” consists of a series of sophisticated predictive maintenance algorithms, allowing railway operators to plan maintenance tasks more efficiently, reducing downtime and expenses while increasing track availability.

Vossloh’s visualization programs make this data intuitive and turn it into recommendations for individual actions.
Some of Vossloh’s in-house solutions offered on the new platform are focused on turnout switches, as one of the technically complex and failure-prone elements of railway tracks.
Smart Turnout provides advanced monitoring for turnout switches, including information on vertical movement, train speed, and train recognition. Smart Point Machine enables quick assessment of assets and adjustable alarm signals and can be adapted to specific customer needs.

Advanced monitoring prevents machine failures, and specialized algorithms are focused on predicting and preventing faults.
Using a set of laser-equipped sensors, the SMV solution measures displacement and vibration to understand ballast tamping needs in the switch zone and evaluate the effectiveness of technical maintenance.
The mapl-e concept offers a comprehensive solution, combining measurements, analysis, and maintenance to reduce and control costs through combined grinding and train-based measurement operations.
This allows for continuous data collection even during periods of high traffic, ensuring quick access to valuable information and enhancing operational efficiency.
