UZ is interested in accelerating the implementation of the Dolinskaya-Nikolaev-Kolosovka electrification project. This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Oleksandr Kamyshin during the Infrastructure Day held by the European Business Association.

UZ plans to speed up the electrification

The railway magazine Railway Supply writes about this with reference to Railinsider.

“We found that this project pays off in less than 7 years. Consequently, UZ is interested in its implementation. We plan to speed up the work,” the head of the company said.

Locomotives modernization

As previously reported, the electrification of the Dolinskaya-Nikolaev-Kolosovka direction may begin next year.

The state also provided UZ with guarantees for an EBRD loan for this project. It should be reminded that within the framework of the “Big Construction”, it is planned to electrify 500 km of track in two years.

Among the priority areas is Dolinskaya-Nikolaev-Kolosovka.
