31.01.2024
As a subsidiary of JSC ‘Ukrzaliznytsia,’ UZ Cargo Poland will offer a comprehensive range of international transport services, including payment of railway tariffs in Romania and Poland, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Valeriy Tkachev, the Deputy Director of the society’s Commercial Department, disclosed this information.
The services include paying railway tariffs within Romania and Poland and dispatching wagons beyond Ukraine (for a fee).
UZ Cargo Poland has the ability to provide wagons at a cost lower than that set for foreign carriers (under a separate agreement).
Additionally, the company offers a comprehensive service for transporting goods abroad (payment of transport tariffs and use of UZ wagons).
As previously reported, UZ will auction off export shipments with bogie rearrangement and transfer to the 1435 mm gauge in Romania (via Vadul-Siret and Dyakovo stations).
A mandatory condition is that auction participants must have a contract with UZ Cargo Poland.
