The platforms will replenish the VTG Rail Russia fleet during 2022. The cooperation of the companies began in 2017. Taking into account previous deliveries, the total number of innovative cars produced by the Tikhvin Car-Building Plant in the VTG Rail Russia fleet will be 350 units.

KVBZ has reduced the production of freight cars by 55% in eight months of 2021

The cars are equipped with 18-9855 bogies with an axial load of 25 tons and increased reliability and safety. Due to the innovative chassis, as a part of trains on routes up to 6500 km long, platforms pass maintenance only at marshaling depots and destination stations, without stops on a route. It allows to increase speed of delivery of freight. The overhaul mileage has also been increased to 1 million km (or 8 years).

The General Director of VTG Rail Russia gave the reasons for placing the order at the plant in Tikhvin: UWC platforms are commercially attractive to customers, have improved technical characteristics and ensure reliable delivery of goods.
