Each tunnel will be placed at a different level, with a total length of 10.6 kilometers. This separation will efficiently manage long-distance and regional train traffic, improving overall network capacity.
How Underground Station Construction Will Transform Prague’s Transport?
Officials reviewed three project options, including modifications, but they ultimately rejected two proposals. The first option involved two platforms and a four-track tunnel, while the second proposed a single station.
The selected plan includes five stations, significantly improving pedestrian and transport accessibility. Construction costs are estimated at CZK 185 billion (€7.66 billion).
