JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to expand its energy infrastructure by constructing gas power plants with a total capacity of up to 250 MW, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Ukrzaliznytsia: Construction of Gas Power Plants

This step will allow the company to partially meet its own electricity needs to support critical facilities and consumers across the country connected to the Ukrzaliznytsia network.

Currently, the company is actively seeking project financing, negotiating for grants and international aid, and engaging in dialogue with potential equipment suppliers.

This step complements the company’s previously announced plans to purchase 80 electric locomotives, indicating strategic development and modernization of Ukraine’s railway infrastructure.
