The parties have officially signed a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of the “Economic Support for Ukraine” project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

UZ and DAI Global LLC plan to develop grain exports

The memorandum outlines:

Support for the recovery and acquisition of rolling stock;

Reduction of grain transportation costs;

Improvement of cross-border cooperation;

Enhancement of cargo weighing and scanning efficiency;

Improvement of handling equipment, and more.

This will increase the export capabilities of agricultural products.

“We are intensifying our joint efforts to build grain logistics for rail transportation between Ukraine and the EU together with our partners from the USAID Project. Our common goal is to increase grain exports by developing solutions that will help enhance and demonstrate the efficiency and profitability of Ukraine’s rail export logistics,” noted Evgeny Lysyenko, Chairman of the Ukrzaliznytsia Board.
