Ukrainian Manufacturers at Trako 2023: Kryukiv Railcar Building Plant

Kryukiv Railcar Building Plant is participating in the international railway exhibition Trako 2023, booth E39, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

Kryukiv Railcar Building Plant (KRBZ) is a large transnational company and a unique mixed-type enterprise where both freight cars and socially significant transportation are created and manufactured on a single production site.

This includes passenger cars, interregional and suburban electric trains, diesel trains, subway cars, escalators, running gear for both freight and passenger cars.

Freight car manufacturing at KRBZ includes the production of gondola cars with enhanced technical characteristics, a wide range of hopper cars, tank cars, specialized cars, covered cars, and platform cars.

Over 550,000 freight cars produced by KRBZ have operated and continue to operate on railway lines.

Kryukiv Railcar Building Plant has independently entered the markets of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, supplying products to more than 20 countries worldwide.

Long-standing partner countries include Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, the Baltic States, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the USA, Canada, Cuba, China, and others.

Over the years, the enterprise has developed more than 48 models and modifications of passenger cars of various types and classes: seat cars, compartment cars, SV (first-class) cars, cars with facilities for transporting disabled passengers, restaurant cars, baggage cars, cars for international traffic (RIC gauge), interregional and suburban electric trains (160-200 km/h), interregional locomotive-hauled trains (160 km/h), passenger diesel trains (140 km/h).

There are plans for developing high-speed trains (up to 250 km/h), double-decker locomotive-hauled cars with aluminum bodies, and dual-system electric locomotives.

The production of modern equipment is impossible without new technologies and materials. KRBZ has implemented the use of high-strength and wear-resistant steels in freight car manufacturing, acquired and installed the best machines and complexes in Europe for processing parts and assemblies.

Technologies for frame bonding, the use of stainless steels, aluminum, and pneumatic suspension designs have been mastered. In the near future, the transition to using aluminum alloys and polymer materials in the production of high-speed trains is planned.

This aligns with European standards in transport engineering.

The enterprise’s quality management system is certified in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015, the international standard ISO TS 22163:2017, and the national standard DSTU ISO 9001:2015.

KRBZ has received several international awards for product quality, allowing it to create machinery that is on par with the best global counterparts. All of this contributes to a positive image of Ukraine and increases pride in its achievements!
